Rugby: Mourie and Gilbert to coach North v South

Former All Blacks captain Graham Mourie and former All Blacks assistant coach Tony Gilbert will coach the teams in the first North and South match for 17 years. The game will be held at Dunedin’s Forsyth Barr Stadium on June 10 as a way to help the cash-strapped Otago Rugby Union, who recently staved off bankruptcy. Mourie, who captained the North in six appearances between 1976 and 1982, will coach the North team with assistance from North Harbour coach Liam Barry.

By ROB HARRIS | Associated Press  –  LONDON (AP) — Britain ‘s last attempt to keep former doping offenders off its Olympic teams has failed, with sports’ top court declaring the country’s lifetime bans for drug cheats unlawful. A person familiar with the ruling said Sunday the Court of Arbitration for Sport has backed the World Anti-Doping Agency ‘s assertion that its code is now violated by the British Olympic Association ‘s 20-year-old bylaw. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the CAS verdict is not being publicly released until Monday.
